Hey, friends. How are things?
With the onset of September comes the beginning of school, which really means... football is back. College football is huge at my alma mater and I definitely miss the camaraderie of game day as a student. While I'll always bleed red for my Badgers, game day as an alumn is a little different. 7:00a "eggs & kegs" are no longer a thing, and my time living a block from the stadium has certainly passed. As an alumn, tailgating means a little less day party and a little more lowkey.
I hate to admit it, but my team has had three games this season, none of which I have even been around for... and I currently live in my college town! But between weekend trips & weddings, I just haven't been able to make it happen. As an undergrad, I rarely missed a game (ever!) so I'm really looking forward to getting back on campus for game day.
I chose a casual & understated game day look for a weekend trip on a family yacht. We docked for the day at a marina in the cutest little town where we watched the game from a brewery. It was such an incredible surprise to watch my Badgers beat LSU at the iconic Lambeau Field stadium! I really couldn't have asked for anything better.
How do you tailgate as a student or an alumn? Drop a line in the comments & let me know!

Gameday is my fav! Love this look!
ReplyDeleteSame here, girl. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteThis is so cute! My alma mater doesn't have a football team so I'm having to root for some other teams in my state. Football is my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Whitney! No worries, half the fun of football season is celebrating spending time with friends and family (and food, of course!). Hope you're having a great week!
DeleteHere in Canada we don't have that amazing excitement! I wish we did because I love it and I have been down to the states to enjoy some good college football!
ReplyDeletelots of love... Sydney

DeleteIt sure is a lot of fun, but y'all have hockey which I'm sure is just as exciting! In my opinion, it's less about the sport and more about having fun with friends and family. Thanks for stopping by, Sydney!
DeleteAh gameday style is my fav! In Texas, you wear a cute dress and boots!

College football in the south is no joke! It certainly wasn't warm enough to sport a dress and boots the day I shot these photos but I love gameday dresses if the weather permits!
DeleteYou look so stunning, I love this look so cute and festive for the game!

Thanks, Greta! I sure hope so, too. I've had an unexpectedly busy "fall" so far!

ReplyDeleteI totally agree, McKenna. Game days are the best days!
DeleteHow FUN! Love that you were able to get these taken at this location. So cute and laid back!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Summer! I had such a fun weekend yachting on the Great Lakes and stopping and cute little marinas along the way. Until next season!
DeleteGreat shoot location! Love the laid back look for game day.

Thank you, Alix! I love being able to show my team pride without being too overboard (especially when I can't be at the game!)
DeleteOh so cute! I love the boats. Your shirt and pants are such a fun combo!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words, Kelsie. I'm glad you stopped by!
DeleteI've never watched a game from a brewery before. It sounds awesome! That flower in your hair is such a fun and flirty accessory to add to your outfit. Love it!

It sure was a good time, although, I would've loved to have been at the game. The "flower" in my hair is actually a bow I got from Etsy (I know, it's totally hard to tell from the distance of the photos!) but I agree, it's such a great piece to add to any game day outfit!
DeleteGo Badgers! Fellow Wisconsinite here :) I love watching games with New Glarus (before I moved of course) Badger game day is so fun, and your outfit is really cute!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Hey, Ashley! I love connecting with fellow Badgers (there's just something about 'em!) I recently relocated back to Wisconsin from DC and I'm really happy about the availability of Spotted Cow/New Glarus now that I'm back in the state, haha. Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteLove your game day look! I go to a really small school so football isn't too big here, but my hometown is home to a Big 10 school so football is HUGE there! It's really fun!
