Lake Days
I love being on the lake. I would be out boating, tubing, jet skiing or just relaxing on a dock everyday if I could! With my affinity for the water, I'm really lucky I went to a college that's on an isthmus surrounded by two awesome lakes. I'm probably even luckier that my family has a beautiful lake home situated on the most quaint little lake! I'm there quite often, whether I'm out on the water or just relaxing on the patio, I love spending time there with my family. A few weeks ago my best friend and her dog came out for a visit! The weather was gorgeous and I wore one of my favorite easygoing dresses - perfect for lake days.
In other news, I'm headed to Washington, D.C. tomorrow for a long weekend - be sure to follow along on Instagram for real-time updates!

Making the Move

Big news, folks! The elusive post-grad job hunt has finally commenced and I'm relocating. I'm spending the little bit of time I have left in Madison enjoying everything I love about this city before moving to Washington, D.C. My transition from Madison to the District has been one full of excitement and uncertainty, but I can't wait to really get started! I'm also looking forward to creating fresh content to document my new chapter in a new city - so stay tuned!

Colorado Recap
On our first day in Denver, we caught the Brewer v. Rockies game at Coors Field. It was so hot... I'm not used to near 100 degree temps! Truth be told, we only spent about five minutes in our seats because they were positioned directly in the sun. Though, we did enjoy exploring the stadium (and the food options haha)!
Estes Park was gorgeous - check out those mountains in the background! We spent some time goofing around at our resort (pictured above) and went on a couple hikes. Of course, we also did some beer and wine tastings because what's a vacation without a few libations? I'll admit, my first day in Estes Park wasn't ideal... turns out altitude adjustment is a real thing. After a day of adjusting to the elevation, the rest of the week went smoothly.
We closed our trip with a sunset flight back to the Midwest (and some elk jerky). I was greeted at the airport by my soggy luggage (due to a torrential downpour and liquid explosions within my bag) which was a telling sign - maybe I should have just stayed there forever? Oh well, you can't win 'em all!
